Do I need to read music?
No. Guitarists often learn using chord diagrams, tablature, listening and demonstration. Traditional notation can also be taught where it is useful or relevant to your goals.
Can I take graded guitar exams?
Yes. Your teacher can help you prepare for acoustic, electric or rock and pop guitar grades where appropriate. Exams are optional and never compulsory.
How much should I practise?

Do I need an amplifier for electric guitar lessons?
